Content-driven movies have never missed stealing the spotlights and public attention in Tamil film industry. Significantly, the recent release ‘Oru Nodi’ that garnered phenomenal response from both critics and film enthusiasts as one of the finest crime thrillers, has witnessed a decorous success. The Team of ‘Oru Nodi’ are not resting on the laurels the film brought them and have come together now to bring out a spine-chilling horror flick.

Amoham Pictures K Subhashini & White Lamp Pictures KG Ratheesh are jointly producing this film tentatively titled “Production No.1”, which is presented by popular Producer and Distributor G Dhananjeyan, through his company Creative Entertainers and Distributors (CEAD). B Manivarman, director of the acclaimed ‘Oru Nodi’, is helming this project, which features Taman Kumar in the lead character.
The film’s shooting commenced this morning with a formal pooja ceremony graced by the cast, and crew members of the film. The first leg of shooting will be held in Chennai followed by the next schedule in Pondicherry.
Taman Kumar, who was appreciated for his commendable performance as protagonist in ‘Oru Nodi’ is playing the lead character in this yet-to-be-titled movie. Malvi Malhotra is playing the female lead role with Maithreya as the second male lead and Raksha Cherin as the second female lead. Arun Karthi, Kaali Venkat, Munishkanth, Vela Ramamoorthi, Thalaivasal Vijay, Santhana Bharathi, Yaasar, Sivam, Baby Safa, Nakkalites Nivethitha and many familiar actors are a part of the star-cast.
KG Ratheesh, one of the producers of this film is handling the cinematography, Sanjay Manickam is composing the music, Guru Suriya is handling editing, and SJ Ram is taking care of production designing. Miracle Michael is the stunt master and Snehan is penning lyrics for this film.
The beauty of this new film is almost the entire cast and crew of ‘Oru Nodi’ are being a part of it. The film’s title along with the first look will be revealed soon. The producers are planning for a worldwide theatrical release by this year-end.
