The Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management (IITRAM) is going to organise the sixth Convocation on Monday, August 5, 2024 here. The event will be organised under the patron leadership of Prof. Barjor Mehta, the President and Acting Director of CEPT University in Ahmedabad, says an IITRAM release.
“The Chief Guest of this convocation ceremony will be Prof. Barjor Mehta, who will inspire the graduates with his wisdom. Prof. Barjor Mehta is the President and Acting Director of CEPT University. Prof. Mehta currently holds the position of Lead Urban Specialist at the World Bank. Prof. Mehta, an architect and urban planner, is the World Bank’s Lead Urban Specialist for the East Asia & the Pacific Region based in Singapore. Before this, he was based in the World Bank’s country offices in China (2016-2020), India (2012-2016), and Tanzania (2009 – 2012),” the release said.
Prior to that, he was in Washington DC between 2002 and 2009, where he worked on urban development initiatives in Eastern and Southern Africa, South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa. Before joining the World Bank, Mr. Mehta served as Associate Professor of Urban Planning (1990-1995) and Director of the School of Planning, CEPT (now called Faculty of Planning, CEPT University) from 1995 to 1997. Working with different organizations, he has also worked as a planner in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan, and the United States.
IITRAM, known for its dedication to innovation and education, has announced its 6th Convocation Ceremony will be held on August 05, 2024 (Monday) from 10:30 am onwards. This event will take place in Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Auditorium Hall, Vastral, Ahmedabad.
A total of 160 graduates will be conferred degrees in this convocation. Of this, 129 B.Tech, 21 M.Tech and 10 doctoral graduates will receive degrees. Six students, three each in Civil and Electrical Engineering, will be awarded B.Tech degree with Honours. Five students in Electrical Engineering and four in Mechanical Engineering will be awarded B.Tech degrees with Minors. Class of 2024 graduates from PAN-India will be attending this event.
