Prof. Pramod Kumar Jain has recently taken over as the Director-General of IITRAM here. Prof. Jain succeeds Prof. B.N. Singh, who served with distinction as Director General from May 22, 2023, to August 21, 2024.
Prof. Jain was a Professor in the Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. Prior to joining IITRAM, Prof. Jain has served as a Director of IIT (BHU) Varanasi, Director (Additional Charge) of IIT Patna and Director of IIIT DM, Jabalpur. Prof. Jain has an excellent track record of performing administrative and academic responsibilities in the institutions that he has served in various capacities.
Prof. Jain is excellent in planning and execution of high impact facilities such as infrastructure projects and research facilities. He has a proven track record of improving teaching, research, innovation and fund generation for the Institute. Prof. Jain has a total of 35+ years of experience and 18+ years of experience as a Professor. With his extensive academic and administrative experience, Prof. Jain is expected to bring visionary leadership to IITRAM, furthering its mission of excellence in education and research.
