Asia Interventional Complications Course (AICC) in association with Promed Hospital is organizing the largest Interventional Complications Course in Asia. This unique two-day course being held in Chennai for the first time in India and Asia aims to address all aspects of complications in interventional procedures. Led by world-renowned experts, this course offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn the latest techniques and innovations in interventional cardiology. It addresses how to reduce the risk of complications and importantly how to deal with complications.

  • The two-day course being held for the first time in India and over 300 cardiologists across the globe to tackle procedural challenges and improve patient outcomes
  • Some of the eminent speakers include Dr William Lombardi, USA, International Course Director; Dr. Masahisa Yamane, Japan, International Course Director; Dr Ahmed El-Guindy, Egypt, Dr Ashok Seth, Dr Samuel Mathew, Dr Sridhar Kasturi, Dr P K Goel, Dr. Pehlajani, and Dr Anantharaman

“In the next two days, over 300 leading cardiologists from India and several other countries will be present. This advanced, in-depth exploration is designed to help cardiologists overcome challenges and improve patient outcomes through dissemination of cutting-edge procedural expertise and valuable knowledge” said Dr Arun Kalyanasundaram, Director, APCTO Club and Chief Cardiologist, Promed Hospital, and Organizing chairman of the AICC conference.

“As this is the first such conference to be held in Asia and the first dedicated meeting that addresses all aspects of complications in interventional procedures, we have invited world-renowned faculty from US, Japan, Europe, UK and Asia” added Dr Arun

Some of the eminent speakers include Dr William Lombardi, USA, International Course Director; Dr. Masahisa Yamane, Japan, International Course Director; Dr Ahmed El-Guindy, Egypt, Dr Ashok Seth, Dr Samuel Mathew, Dr Sridhar Kasturi, Dr P K Goel, Dr. Pehlajani, and Dr Anantharaman. These eminent doctors  described options to manage the most challenging complications and build systems that allow operators to proceed with less fear over unintended, challenging events.

Dr Spoorthi Arun, MD, Promed Hospital said, “The aim of AICC is to ensure cardiologists and cardiac technicians/nurses feel comfortable managing complications while treating high-risk patients with complex coronary or structural anatomy. Cardiologists also participated in hands-on training in dedicated hubs where they were shown simulations. Here they were trained on CTO scenarios, atherectomy, snaring, deployment of coronary and peripheral covered stents, use of coils, and ancillary imaging.”
