Pune to host 3rd edition of ‘ForgeTech India 2023’ conference & expo from Nov 3: AIFI

As the discussion on usage of Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine (HICE) technology to ensure Zero-emission in the country is emerging at large scale, the Association of Indian Forging Industry (AIFI) is organizing the 3rd edition of ‘ForgeTech India 2023’ conference and exhibition at Pune, Maharashtra from Nov 3 to 5.

Announcing this here on Wednesday to the media, K Vinoth Kumar – Chairman Southern Region, AIFI & Managing Director, Accurate Steel Forging (I) Ltd, S Muralishankar¬– Director- AIFI & Managing Director, Super Auto Forge Pvt. Ltd and Vidyashankar Krishnan – Director- AIFI & Managing Director, MM Forgings Ltd said the Forging Industry in India has attained pre-Covid level. Though the penetration of EVs in passenger cars and two and three wheelers taking place in the country, the forging industry will withstand when the usage of Hydrogen-fuelled batteries and Hydrogen fuel in Heavy vehicles come into force, they added.

The total size of market for Forging Industry in the country is 2.2 Matric Tonnes, of this nearly 35 percent is being exported, they said.

They further added that the conference will attract participation of over 600 delegates from all over the world for this edition. The event will feature submission of 15 to 20 technical paper by renowned global experts, showcasing industry developments and the exhibition of supplier capabilities, equipment machinery and tooling innovations. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore emerging technologies, engage with peers and interact with experts from the forging and related industries worldwide. During this Conference and Exhibition, AIFI will be presenting the Forge Master awards.

The conference and exhibition will be held under the leadership of  Vikas Bajaj – President of AIFI, Yash J Munot – Vice President of AIFI and Convenor of ForgeTech India 2023 and  Asheet Pasricha – Co-Convenor, ForgeTech India 2023.

Currently, AIFI has over 200 members, accounting for more than 80% of the total production of the Indian forging industry. The role of AIFI is to promote and develop the Indian forging industry to meet the demands and expectations of forging customers and end users, both domestic and global by improving the business environment.

ForgeTech India 2023 is set to be a significant gathering of forging industry representatives, offering insights into diverse facets of the forging trade and industry. Inductotherm is the Title Sponsor for the event while prominent companies such as JSW Steel Ltd, Arjas Steel Pvt. Ltd, Swiss Steel India Private Ltd, JNH Press Co. Ltd., Tech Art Co.
