Adani Power Ltd, a part of Adani portfolio of companies, on Wednesday reported that its Profit Before Tax higher by 26% at ₹4,059 crore for the fiscal’s third quarter ended December (Q3FY25).
Adani Power’s consolidated revenue from operations stood at ₹13,671.18 crores during the quarter ended December (Q3FY25) from ₹12,991.44 crore in Q3FY24, a year-on-year rise of 5.23%. Sequentially, the revenue was up by 2.5%.
The earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortization increased by 23.5% compared to the same quarter last year, reaching ₹6,185.18 crore.
The company reported that, in comparison to the corresponding periods of FY24, the growth in continuing operational revenue slowed in 9M FY25 and Q3 FY25 due to lower import coal prices and reduced merchant taxes.
Strong continuing EBITDA growth of 21.9% in 9M FY25 compared to 9M FY24, driven by moderate fuel cost reductions and increased recurring revenues. Due to lower merchant tariffs, continuing EBITDA for Q3 FY25 displayed a flat trend when compared to Q3 FY24.

The board of the company has also approved higher fundraising thresholds through Non-Convertible Debentures and a Qualified Institutional Placement. The board has approved raising the fundraising ceiling for Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) to ₹11,000 crore, an increase from the previous limit of ₹5,500 crore. Additionally, the company has sanctioned raising ₹5,000 crore via the Qualified Institutional Placement method.
Key operating highlights for 9M and Q3 FY25
The newly acquired power plants of Dahanu (“ADTPS”), Moxie Power Generation Ltd. (“MPGL”) and Korba Power Ltd. (“KPL”) contributed to the aggregate power dispatch growth in Q3FY25. The recently concluded quarter also witnessed a growth in power dispatched to the merchant and short-term market, supported by the Company’s competitive advantages in capacity available for generation as well as in fuel sourcing.
APL has also awarded major contracts, including main plant equipment supply for its ongoing and upcoming expansion projects, addressing key supply constraints and ensuring smooth and on-time project execution.
