CHENNAI, FEB 18

‘Manu Needhi Chozhar’ Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK chief MK Stalin’s first part of the autobiography, titled Ungalil Oruvan (One Among You) will be released on February 28 at at the Chennai Trade Centre in Nandambakkam .

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is expected to release the first part of the autobiography, sources said.

The event is also likely to be attended by non-BJP chief ministers, including Telengana’s K Chandrashekar Rao and Kerala’s Pinarayi Vijayan, as well as National Conference leader Omar Abdullah.

Stalin made the announcement on his autobiography release while inaugurating the Chennai Book Fair.

The book is said to cover the first 23 years of his life, till 1976, including the Emergency era during when he was detained under the Maintenance of Internal Security Act (MISA).

Invitations for the event, say sources, have been sent to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, RJD’s Tejasvi Yadav and others.

Stalin’s invitation to chief ministers of non-BJP ruled states and Rahul releasing the book has put to rest all speculations over the coming together of a Congress-less opposition alliance.

However it remains to be seen, if Mamata will accept the invite and come for the event.

The event also coincides with Stalin’s announcement seeking representatives from 37 political parties across the country for his Social Justice Forum.
