Madhya Pradesh (MP) medium-pacer Ravi Yadav could not have dreamed a better first-class debut as he bagged a memorable hat-trick in the very first over of his maiden Ranji Trophy match on Tuesday.
Yadav became the first bowler in the history of Ranji Trophy to claim a hat-trick in the first over of his debut game.
Yadav, a 28-year-old left-arm pace bowler, achieved the historic feat against Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. Interestingly, Yadav hails from Uttar Pradesh (UP) but made his first-class debut for Madhya Pradesh after failing to make the cut into the UP senior Ranji side.
Seven other Indian bowlers including the likes of Javagal Srinath and Abhimanyu Mithun have taken hat-tricks on debut but Yadav is the only Ranji player to have managed to do it in his very first over.
