GANDHINAGAR, OCT 3
In a major step towards strengthening India’s technological and security training ecosystem, the Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) and the Directorate of Coordination Police Wireless (DCPW) have entered into a strategic partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The MoU was signed by Dr. Chandresh Parekha, Director I/c, School of IT, Artificial Intelligence, and Cyber Security, RRU, marking a new chapter in academic–institutional collaboration for capacity building in wireless communication and allied technologies.
Modernising Training for National Security
This partnership aims to modernise the training syllabus for technical officers, integrate instruction on emerging technologies, and align DCPW’s training programs with rigorous academic and research standards. The initiative is expected to significantly enhance the operational readiness of India’s communication systems, while also preparing a pool of highly skilled professionals in wireless communication and related domains.
Synergy of Academia and Practice
The alliance will combine RRU’s academic expertise and research leadership with DCPW’s operational experience, creating a robust, future-ready training framework. By bridging the gap between field practice and academic rigor, the collaboration is set to:
- Upgrade curricula to reflect cutting-edge global technologies.
- Strengthen teaching, training, and research in wireless communication.
- Contribute to national security preparedness through highly trained officers.
- Establish a sustainable model for continuous capacity building.
Speaking on the occasion, officials from both institutions highlighted that this collaboration would not only improve the technical skill sets of security personnel, but also act as a knowledge-sharing platform for innovations in communication technology.
With this MoU, RRU and DCPW reaffirm their commitment to advancing India’s technological capabilities, aligning security training with 21st-century challenges, and contributing to the broader goal of building a secure and self-reliant nation.
