Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) and Haryana Police Academy (HPA) on Friday solidified their commitment to joint endeavours in training, research, education, affiliation, and other related activities through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU was signed by Dr. Shishir Kumar Gupta, Registrar of RRU, and Dr. C.S. Rao, IPS, Additional Director General of Police/Director of HPA.

The signing ceremony was attended by esteemed dignitaries from Haryana Police Academy, including Dr. Rajshri Singh, IPS, Inspector General; Sanjay Kumar, IPS, Inspector General of Police, Administration; Pushpa Khatri, SP;  Arvind Hooda, Deputy Director of Forensic Science Laboratory in Madhuban; Cdr. Manoj Bhatt (Retd.), Director-Affiliation and Accreditation at RRU; and Raghunaathen, Nodal Officer for National Security Organizations at RRU. Additionally, several other senior officers from the academy were also present to witness this significant collaboration.

Prof Bimal N Patel, the Vice Chancellor of Rashtriya Raksha University, believes that this partnership between Rashtriya Raksha University and Haryana Police Academy marks a pivotal moment in the advancement of law enforcement training and research in India. Both institutions are committed to leveraging their expertise and resources to enhance the quality of education and training provided to law enforcement professionals. The collaboration will also facilitate joint research initiatives aimed at addressing contemporary challenges in policing and security. As this partnership shall work towards strengthening the internal security infrastructure of India.

Dr. Shishir Kumar Gupta expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating that it represents a significant step towards fostering excellence in law enforcement education and training. He emphasized the importance of such partnerships in shaping the future of policing in India.

Dr. C.S. Rao echoed these sentiments, highlighting the potential for mutual learning and growth through collaborative efforts in training and research. He emphasized the need for continuous innovation and knowledge exchange to address evolving security challenges effectively.

Rashtriya Raksha University and Police Training College, Narendra Nagar, Uttarakhand sign MoU for enhanced collaboration

Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), a leading institution dedicated to national security studies, and Police Training College (PTC), Narendra Nagar, Uttarakhand, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration on the aspects of policing through training and research verticals. The MoU signing took place at Police Training College, Uttarakhand, and was signed by Dr. Shishir Kumar Gupta (Registrar), along with Cdr. Manoj Bhatt (Retd.) (Director-Affiliation and Accreditation) and Dadan Pal (DIG/Director – PTC Narendra Nagar). Shekhar Chandra Suyal (Additional SP/Vice Principal – PTC Narendra Nagar) and other senior officers from both institutions were also present during the signing ceremony.

Under the visionary guidance of Prof. Bimal N Patel, who believes that this strategic partnership aims to promote academic exchange, joint research initiatives, and the development of specialized training programs for police personnel. He emphasizes that collaboration is of utmost importance as skill development occurs through capacity enhancement and continuous learning. Therefore, through the MoU, RRU and PTC Narendra Nagar will collaborate in the following areas:

  • Joint curriculum development and faculty exchange: Both institutions will collaborate to develop innovative and up-to-date training programs for police officers, incorporating the latest advancements in policing strategies, technology, and law. They will also facilitate faculty exchange programs to foster knowledge sharing and enhance teaching methodologies.
  • Research collaboration and knowledge exchange: RRU and PTC Narendra Nagar will collaborate on research projects related to police training, crime prevention, and community policing. They will also organize joint seminars, workshops, and conferences to disseminate research findings and promote knowledge exchange.
  • Capacity building and skill development: RRU and PTC Narendra Nagar will jointly organize training programs for police officers to enhance their skills in various areas, including leadership, communication, technology, and community engagement. They will also provide specialized training programs for police trainers to ensure they are equipped with the latest pedagogical approaches.

This affiliation will provide PTC Narendra Nagar trainees with the opportunity to earn recognized academic credentials from RRU, further enhancing their career prospects. Both institutions are committed to working together to develop a highly skilled and professional police force that is well-equipped to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
