Lace up as Kauvery Hospital gears up to host the second edition of the K10K Run – A Cancer Awareness Run on Sunday. In an exciting prelude to the main event, Kauvery Hospital unveiled the race kit for K10K cancer awareness run, an event dedicated to raising awareness about cancer.
Dr. AN Vaidhyswaran, Director and Senior Consultant, Radiation Oncologist, Kauvery Hospital, Chennai in the presence of Dr Iyappan Ponnuswamy, Medical Director, Kauvery Hospital, Chennai & Dr. Sujay Susikar, Consultant, Surgical Oncologist, Kauvery Hospital, Chennai inaugurated the event, adding his insights and support to this noble cause. Now in its second edition after a triumphant debut last year, this annual event is a rallying call to raise awareness about cancer and galvanize a collective effort in the ongoing battle against this formidable disease.
“The K10K Run offers both 5km and 10km categories, welcoming participants of all fitness levels to unite for a common cause. The K10K Run is more than just a race to cover miles; it’s a profound journey aimed at leaving a lasting impact. Participants hold a pivotal role in spreading awareness about cancer prevention, emphasizing the critical importance of early detection, and adoption of a healthy lifestyle,” added Dr. AN Vaidhyswaran.
Addressing reporters Dr AN Vaidhyswaran said that the second edition of the K10K run received very good response from the public, as over 5000 people from different walks of life have registered. Last year 4000 people participated in the first edition, he added.
Going beyond mere awareness, this initiative from Kauvery Hospital endeavors to make a tangible difference by raising funds to provide essential cancer treatment for the underprivileged in our community.
