In 2018 because of e-investment in real-estate from Private equity (PE) Funds, the real estate market witnessed an upward trend but since then the Investors have been were away from this market due to the pandemic. In last quarter of 2020 residential buyers considerably increased and there was an increase in home-office segment as well, says an expert.
As per the Real estate Sentiment Index a quarter report – of 2021 held between March -21 and April – 12- 2021 research by Knight Frank India – A New York Base real estate consultancy company, FICCI – Federation of Indian chambers of commerce and Industry and NAREDCO – National Real Estate Development Council, Investment of PE – Private Equity had dropped 40% in 2020 YoY because of epidemic but in the first quarter 2021 Investment from the PE significantly increase and recover in Office and Retail segment.
The recovery was evident in volumes (number of deals) aswell. Q1 2021 witnessed 19 deals compared to 21 deals in theentire 2020. This sharp bounce back in investment volumeswas majorly driven by investor activity in the office andresidential segments.71% of deals completed in office segment and 15% in retail and 7% in residential and in warehousing. It looks now a days Commercial segment is increasing in compare to another sector.
