The month-long Japanese food festival was kick-started on Saturday at the KooX, the Rooftop Asian Restaurant of Novotel Hotel at Chamiers Road in Chennai.
The festival was inaugurated by the Japan’s Consul General in Chennai Taga Masayuki in the presence of Supreet Roy, General Manager of Novotel Hotel, here.
The menu has 18 special varieties like Kushiyaki, Yakitori, Ebi Tempura at the festival.
The Japanese street food lovers can relish a unique gastronomical experience with authentic delicacies from the streets of Japan paired with the KooX special cocktails, said Supreet Roy, General Manager of Novotel Hotel, Chennai.
Hundreds of Chennai residents are visiting the Japanese Food Festival organized every year, said the restaurant authorities.
Novotel Chennai Chamiers Road features city’s popular dining options such as KooX, Chennai’s first and only Rooftop and Asian grill, the Food Exchange, an interactive buffet restaurant and kitchen, the hotel, the official added.
