Gujarat Science City, working under the aegis of the Dept. of Science & Technology, Government of Gujarat, is dedicated to fostering a scientific temperament within society Science city in association with GUJCOST, is set to commemorate National Science Day. Scheduled from February 28 to March 3, this celebration aims to promote scientific temperament and innovation within society.

National Science Day, observed annually on February 28, commemorates the discovery of the ‘Raman effect’ by Dr. Chandrashekhar Venkataraman (Sir CV Raman) in 1928. Dr. Raman’s seminal contribution, which earned him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930, underscores the importance of fostering scientific curiosity and promoting innovation across the nation.

The ‘Science Carnival-2024’ will feature a diverse array of activities and programs, including scientific exhibitions, demonstrations, lectures, workshops, and competitions. Moreover, visitors will have the opportunity to explore various learning labs focusing on energy, climate change, and creative learning.
