The unveiling, staged at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Chennai, became a first-of-its-kind industry spectacle, drawing over 15,000 attendees, including members of the legendary Gang of Dusters community—symbolising the powerful emotional connect the SUV commands across generations.

First Chapter of Renault’s India Renewal

The new Renault Duster is the first product reveal under Renault Group’s International Game Plan 2027 in India, reinforcing the company’s renewed commitment to the country as a global growth pillar.

“As part of the Renault International Game Plan 2027, we are making India a key pillar of our growth outside Europe. We now have a strong ecosystem in Chennai, bringing together design, engineering, manufacturing and local operations at the highest level… The new Renault Duster is the first step in Renault’s renewal in India,” said Fabrice Cambolive, Chief Growth Officer, Renault Group & CEO, Renault Brand

Made for India, Engineered for Extremes

Built on the new Renault Group Modular Platform (RGMP), the new Duster is nearly 90% India-specific, validated for extreme climates and engineered for 5-star safety standards. The ultra-flexible architecture supports multiple powertrains, advanced connectivity, and future-ready technologies, making it one of Renault’s most versatile platforms to date.

Powertrains That Make the Unreachable Reachable

The new Duster offers a comprehensive range of turbocharged and electrified powertrains, addressing every Indian driving need:

  • Turbo TCe 160 delivering a best-in-segment 163 PS and 280 Nm, paired with a 6-speed DCT (wet clutch) or 6-speed manual
  • Turbo TCe 100, a smart and accessible turbo petrol option
  • Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160, making its India debut, powered by a 1.8L engine and 1.4 kWh battery, enabling up to 80% EV mode in city driving

The hybrid setup makes the new Duster one of the most efficient and powerful SUVs in its class, without compromising on performance or capability.

“With the new Renault Group Modular Platform, Renault brings advanced hybrid technology and top-tier safety engineering. New Renault Duster marks the start of a renewed product cycle for Renault in India. Renault is back,”
— Stéphane Deblaise, CEO, Renault Group India

Bold, Muscular Design with Iconic Identity

The new Renault Duster reinvents its iconic stance with a rugged yet modern exterior, highlighted by a muscular silhouette, bold proportions and purposeful detailing. Signature elements include a trapezoidal grille with yellow accents, full LED lighting, a horizontal LED rear light bar and a commanding 212 mm ground clearance.

“New Renault Duster marks the rebirth of an icon. Every confident line and sculpted detail embodies India’s aspirations while staying true to Duster’s unique DNA,” said Laurens van den Acker, Chief Design Officer, Renault Group

An exclusive Mountain Jade Green colour inspired by Himalayan forests, paired with a dual-tone black roof, reinforces its premium adventure appeal.

Fighter-Jet Inspired, Driver-Centric Cabin

Inside, the new Duster delivers a fighter-jet inspired cockpit, designed around the driver with tactile physical controls, a raised centre console, electronic shifter and premium Mountain Jade leatherette upholstery with iconic yellow stitching.

A panoramic electric sunroof, ventilated and powered front seats, carbon-fibre accents and ambient lighting elevate comfort and sophistication.

Google Built-In: A First in the Segment

At the heart of the cabin lies the 25.65 cm OpenR Link multimedia system with Google built-in, making its mass-market India debut. Native Google Maps, Assistant, Play Store access and 60+ connected features create a seamless digital ecosystem—without smartphone dependency.

“The New Renault Duster is a testament to Renault’s strong R&D and engineering capabilities, blending rugged design with advanced technology,” — Dr. Vellandi Vikraman, Chief of Renault Engineering

Ownership Confidence with Renault Forever

The new Duster comes with a segment-leading warranty of up to 7 years or 1,50,000 km under the Renault Forever programme, reinforcing long-term trust and peace of mind backed by Renault’s nationwide sales and service network.

Bookings, Pricing & Deliveries

Customers can pre-book the new Renault Duster with an R Pass worth ₹21,000, unlocking:

  • Special introductory pricing
  • Priority delivery
  • Exclusive Gang of Dusters merchandise
  • Factory experience opportunity

Prices will be announced in mid-March 2026, with deliveries starting April 2026. The Strong Hybrid E-Tech 160 deliveries will commence during Diwali 2026.
