The bridge on Daman Ganga River, Valsad district, Gujarat has been completed for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train project.

This is the sixteenth river bridge completed out of the planned 21 river bridges in Gujarat for the project. All five (05) river bridges located in Valsad district have now been completed. In total, 25 river bridges are being constructed along the entire corridor.
The newly constructed bridge spans 360 metres across the Daman Ganga River and comprises nine full-span girders, each measuring 40 metres. The pier heights range from 19 to 29 metres, with a mix of circular piers varying in diameter—one at 4 metres, one at 5 metres, and eight at 5.5 metres. The structure is located approximately 1 km from the upcoming Vapi Bullet Train station and 61 km from Boisar station.
The bridge is part of a 56-km bullet train alignment in the Valsad district, including a 4.3-km stretch through the Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli.. This segment encompasses the Vapi station, a 350-metre tunnel, five river bridges, and a 210-metre pre-stressed concrete (PSC) bridge.
Other river bridges completed in the district include those over the Auranga (320 m), Par (320 m), Kolak (160 m), and Darotha (80 m) rivers. In total, 25 river bridges are planned along the Mumbai-Ahmedabad corridor, with 21 located in Gujarat.
The Daman Ganga River, which originates in the Sahyadri hills near Valveri in Maharashtra’s Nashik district, flows approximately 131 kilometres through Maharashtra, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and Daman before emptying into the Arabian Sea. The river is a vital lifeline for drinking water, irrigation, and industrial use, supporting key urban centres such as Vapi, Dadra, and Silvassa. The Madhuban Dam on the river further enhances its utility by supplying water and power to Gujarat, DNH, and Daman & Diu.
The MAHSR alignment in Valsad district is approx. 56 km (including 4.3 km in Dadra & Nagar Haveli) starting from Zaroli village and ends at Vaghaldara village. The alignment includes Vapi Bullet Train station, a tunnel of 350 m, 05 river bridges and 01 PSC bridge (210 m).
