River Comics App Brand, run by a team of web developers, artists and writers with a passion for telling incredible stories and bringing comic to life, announced that it will launch a new digital series on Mahatma Gandhi in January 2022.
This series marks the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, refreshing the story, struggle of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, whose persistent efforts gave freedom to India. In order to remember the legacy, history & rich culture of India, River Comics has made number of digital series on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Bhagat Singh, Hanuman, Lord Shiva, Rise of the Maratha and many more in pipeline.
The founder, president & curator of River Comics App JM Thakar is based in New Jersey-USA. Inspite of living abroad since years, he strongly believes that Indian legacy & history should not be forgotten, it should be remembered and informed to New Generation. He was always fascinated by Comics, books & movies, so he brought a short cut and created Motion Comics under the banner of River Comics, an App that caters to entertainment & education, running like a movie on your mobile, laptop, computer & TV screens. Thaker believes that our rich Indian culture and history should not be forgotten, he adds,“River Comics is entertainment combined with education. I call it edutainment.Watching these ancient tales come to life in the palm of your hands is simply amazing.”
His work is guided & inspired by his father Dr Mukund Thakar, whose immense care & contribution to the Indian Senior citizens abroad, has been much appreciated in USA, India and all over the world, and greatly supported & encouraged by USA based Bharat Goradia, International promoter of Indian Art & culture.
The formal launch and unveiling of Mahatma Gandhi digital series of River Comics app was done by Bhagyesh Jha (Former Secretary, youth, Cultural affairs & sports dept, Govt of Gujarat ) former Officer at CMO, Author, Poet & Writer. Appreciating River Comics, he said, “Our own stories are reincarnated. River comics brings state of the art technology to revive our cultural heritage. This is a connecting moment, connecting to our roots. Next on the pipeline is animated digital series on Bhagavad Gita on which I am doing research in the USA.”
And Celebrity Guest- Bollywood actress Jinal Pandya (Popular actress of Hindi film Sector Balakot, Film Aamrapali with Sanjay Dutt ).
The founder J.M Thakar hails from Ahmedabad, it was the very reason to launch the series in the city.
