Lord Ganesha symbolizes health and wellness, and what better way to celebrate the Lord’s annual sojourn but an initiative to improve general health and wellness of the poor and needy.
The Rotaract Club of Ahmedabad Vasna, in association with SMS Hospital and Rotaract Club of Ahmedabad North, has organised free medical checkup camp and Covid-19 vaccination camp from September 11 to 18.
The checkup camp includes disciplines such as Pediatric, Gynec, Dental, ENT, Cardio, General, Orthopedic, Spinal, and Neurology. A blood donation drive has also been conducted as a part of the initiative. The Rotaract Club of Ahmedabad Vasna will also arrange for further treatment of needy patients.
The initiative has been supported by the Rotaract leadership, different Rotaract clubs, social and political personalities, and noted celebrities such as Jigardan Gadhvi, Aditya Gadhvi, Ishani Dave, Arvind Vegda, Hemang Dave, and others.
The club’s youth committee has already extended support to more than 50 children who lost their parents to Covid-19, and is looking to support more children. Educational material and stationery were distributed among 300 children on the sidelines of the camp.
An estimated 11,000 people are expected to benefit from the eight-day initiative.
