Rotary Club of Bhavnagar Vibrant planted 100 saplings to mark the International Youth Day here on Tuesday.

It was conducted under the second phase of its Tree Plantation drive at the Regional Science Centre. A group of 25 school students from Palitana planted 100 saplings of local varieties that were well-suited to the region’s climate and environment.

“As part of the club’s commitment to create a greener future, youth were roped in for the plantation drive. Their energy and curiosity made the event even more special. The club members led by Namrita Chadha, President, Rotary Club of Bhavnagar Vibrant, shared the importance of preserving nature and protecting the planet Earth,” a club statement said.

This initiative is another step towards building a sustainable future and the Rotary Club looks forward to nurturing these saplings into flourishing trees along with guiding the young generation, the statement added.
