Regional Passport Officer, Chennai S Koventhan IFS, will hold additional charge of the Head of Branch Secretariat, Chennai of the Ministry of External Affairs.
He assumed charge as the Head of MEA Branch Secretariat, Chennai. S Koventhan is an IFS officer of 2009 batch and had served in the Indian Embassies in Portugal, Brazil and Bhutan during 2011-2021. He is currently serving as RPO Chennai, since 27 July 2021. He is alumnus of College of Engineering Guindy, Chennai.
The previous Head of the MEA Branch Secretariat Dr. M. Venkatachalam, IFS had left for his next assignment, as the Consul General of India in Birmingham, UK.
