Reaffirming the enduring significance of the Indian Constitution, the School of Criminal and Military Law at Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) marked the eve of Constitution Day with a series of academic and creative activities aimed at deepening students’ understanding of India’s supreme law.

Inaugurating the event, Dr. Niharika, Director of the School, highlighted how constitutional values are the foundation of an informed citizenry and must guide future legal and security professionals. She stressed that appreciating the Constitution’s spirit is essential for safeguarding democratic ideals.
Students from all eleven schools of the university participated enthusiastically in elocution and painting competitions, reflecting their grasp of constitutional principles and their relevance in contemporary India.
In the elocution contest, students spoke passionately on the role of citizens in strengthening constitutional democracy—touching upon themes of justice, liberty, equality, gender rights, women’s empowerment and LGBTQ+ inclusion.
The painting competition showcased vibrant and insightful posters depicting the Constitution’s role in governance, rights, duties and national unity.
Delivering the concluding remarks, Dr. Dimple Raval praised the students’ intellectual and artistic engagement and urged them to continue exploring the Constitution as a living document that shapes India’s democratic future. She appreciated the faculty judges for ensuring fairness and encouraging holistic development in the participants.
The celebration not only honoured the Constitution but also reminded young scholars of their responsibility to uphold its ideals in safeguarding the nation’s democratic fabric.
