The Rashtriya Raksha University and the Gandhinagar Police are jointly holding a free eye check-up camp for commercial truck drivers at Mota Chiloda Circle in Gandhinagar, Gujarat on Wednesday.
The camp will be held from 10:00 am to 01:00 pm at the Hospital of Om Landmark School, near Chiloda Circle, Mota Chiloda, says an RRU release.
“It has been observed that truck drivers frequently drive without eyeglasses due to their impaired vision, which could cause accidents. Consequently, on the advice of Bimal Patel, Vice-Chancellor of University, this eye check-up and BP and diabetes check-up camps has been held as a joint initiative of RRU and Gandhinagar Police in an effort to raise awareness among truck drivers about this issue and decrease accidents,” the statement added.
