The School of Physical Education and Sports (SPES) at Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) has successfully conducted two consecutive Training of Trainers programs for personnel from the Border Security Force (BSF), with the objective of improving physical fitness within the force. The training was organized in two separate batches, each featuring the active involvement of 15 committed BSF trainers, resulting in a total of 30 participants across both sessions.
The Training of Trainers program was meticulously designed to equip BSF personnel with the skills and knowledge necessary to improve physical fitness and its critical components within their teams. The initiative aligns with RRU’s commitment to enhancing the health and performance of national security forces.
The sessions featured a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical training, led by experienced faculty from SPES. Participants engaged in a comprehensive curriculum featuring both theoretical and practical sessions, focusing on essential topics such as: Psychology of Performance: Understanding mental resilience and motivation. Physiology of Fitness: Insights into how the body responds to physical training. Strength Training: Techniques for building muscular strength safely and effectively. Endurance Development: Strategies for improving cardiovascular fitness. Flexibility Training: Importance of flexibility for injury prevention and recovery. Injury Prevention: Best practices to minimize risks during training and operations. The trainers engaged in hands-on activities that emphasized the importance of fitness in maintaining operational readiness and resilience.
A warm welcome was extended to all participants by Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel Vice Chancellor of RRU, who underscored the significance of physical education in fostering a robust defense force. He acknowledged the hard work and dedication of both the participants and the faculty in making the program a success.
