The vision of the government to bank on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to boost the entrepreneurial environment in the state, said Chief Minister Vijay Rupani here on Thursday.
Inaugurating the three-day Startup Tech Summit at Science City, Rupani called up on the youths of Gujarat to become job creators and not job seekers.
The Chief Minister said that Gujarat will have to will have to show way to other states to help nation become global super power.
Chief Secretary Anil Mukim said that Gujarat is a policy-driven State. The state has the best infrastructure for manufacturing sectors such as better ports, road connectivity, electricity, rail connectivity and much more in the offing.
British Deputy High Commissioner Peter Cook, NASSCOM co-founder Harish Mehta, and President (Public Sector) of Amazon Internet Services Private Limited Rahul Sharma. Principal Secretary (Industries and Mines) M K Das, Secretary (Science and Technology) Hareet Shukla, and iNDEXTb Managing Director Neelam Rani were also present at the event.
Addressing the gathering, Rahul Sharma of Amazon said that the company will launch a programme to support Gujarat’s futuristic vision.
CM lays foundation for Astronomy and Space Science Gallery
On this occasion, Chief Minister Rupani also laid the foundation stone of the Astronomy and Space Science Gallery at Science City.
AI to be used in lion census 2020
Lion census to follow tiger population estimation protocols that involves use of Artificial Intelligence to compare, read and analyse each lion; breeding centre for Great Indian Bustard mooted; 18 captive leopards to be released with radio collars.
Artificial Intelligence will be used during the 2020 lion census in the state for the first time. The decision was taken during the State Wildlife Board meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Thursday in Gandhinagar.
Among other important decisions taken, a breeding centre for Great Indian Bustard would be set up and captured leopards would be released after affixing radio collars.
The lion census would be conducted by adhering to Tiger population estimation protocols. It would include use of AI to compare, read and analyse each lion.
