The Southern Railway observed National Unity Day (Rastriya Ekta Diwas) in commemoration of the 147th birth anniversary of Shri Sardar Vallabhai Patel, on Monday, who played a significant role in the unification of India.

Usha Venugopal, Principal Financial Advisor, Southern Railway administered the Unity Day pledge to the Officers and Staff of Southern Railway Headquarters on Monday, 31st October 2022. A march past by RPF personnel of Southern Railway followed the pledge taking event.
Similar programmes were held in all the six divisions of Southern Railway to mark the National Unity Day celebrations.
