“It is expected that by 2050, about 30-33% of the world’s population would be mentally ill. This is because we always think that solutions to our challenges are outside of us. The success of ‘Miracle of Mind’ comes at a critical time when mental health challenges are on the rise. Close to 60 to 70 million people in India suffer from common and severe mental disorders. India has the dubious distinction of having the highest number of suicides in the world. According to a National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) report released, 1.71 lakh people died by suicide in 2022 in India. The suicide rate has increased to 12.4 per 1,00,000 – the highest rate ever recorded in India.
