As part of its efforts, the Business Development Unit of Salem Division of Southern Railway has acquired the business of transportating harvester equipment from Chinna Salem to Surathkal in Karnataka.
Recently, Salem division transported over 80 harvester machines, loaded on 32 wagons, to Nalgonda in Telangana. The freight train was flagged off from Chinna Salem on October 12, 2020.
In continuation of such efforts, the Salem division is transporting harvester machines from Chinna Salem to Surathkal (Karnataka) on Wednesday (October 21, 2020).
100 harvester machines, loaded on 32 wagons, are being moved from Chinna Salem in Salem Division to Surathkal in Karnataka.
This initiative will be very beneficial to farmers and give a fillip to agricultural activities at the same time, it also earns revenue for the nation’s largest transporter, the Indian Railways, says a release from the Salem Railway Division.
