GOWRI MANICKAVASAGAM
AHMEDABAD, JULY 2
With the divine blessings of Kanchi Periyavas and our great gurus, the grand Pattabhishekam ceremony of Jagan Matha, Goddess Bhuvaneswari is being celebrated from June 26th, 2025 to July 4th, 2025 coinciding with Ashada Navaratri, also known as Shakambari / Varahi Navaratri (one of the four Navarathris) with great grandeur, at Ambaji Shaktipeeth in Gujarat, the Hrudaya Sthanam (Heart) —one of the most significant Peethams among the 51 Shakti Peethams of Ambal and holds great spiritual importance., says a Sankara Mutt release.

“We all are truly blessed to witness this sacred event. We may have witnessed and experienced many Kumbhabhishekam or heard many Upanyasam of Pattabhishekams as in the Ramayana before, but this occasion is truly special. The Pattabhishekam of Goddess Rajarajeshwari is a rare and extraordinary event. A person needs the blessings of Ambal to attain growth, whether in spiritual or material life,” the statement added.
According to Lalitha Sahasranamam’s “Rajat Krupayai Namaha; Raja Peeta Niveshita Nija Shritayai Namaha” signifies the divine grace of the Sarva Jagan Matha and shows that only through Her blessings, a person can attain higher levels in life, including endless wealth, health, long life, fame, power and leadership. Goddess Jagan Matha bestows immense blessings on doing a normal pooja, but the uniqueness of the Pattabhishekam lies in its elaborate rituals.
It includes the complete Parayanam of Devi Bhagavata Puranam over nine days, the recitation of the powerful Devi Mahatmyam (also known as Durga Saptashati) for many times, the daily performance of Chandi Homam along with Dasa Maha Vidhya Homam, and the Navavarana Pooja each day.
On the ninth and final day, a grand ritual and homam will be conducted as a significant part of the Pattabhishekam ceremony and at the end of the ceremony, Goddess Jagan Matha will be enthroned on the majestic Raja Simhasanam, just as performed in Mani Dweepam, where the Devas performed Her Pattabhishekam as mentioned in the Devi Bhagavatam.
For all devotees, this is a rare and highly significant occasion—one that is seldom witnessed in a lifetime. All the aasthikas are requested to witness and participate in this divine event as much as possible and receive the abundant blessings of Sarva Jagan Matha.
