The Ahmedabad International Book Festival witnessed an inspiring evening with the launch of Savitri and the Constitution of India, the 12th book by noted author and educationist Shraddha Ahuja Ramani. The event drew an enthusiastic audience and marked a proud milestone in her literary journey.

A special highlight of the evening was the participation of the author’s children—her son served as the editor of the book, while her daughter formally presented the work at the launch-NE photo

The venue, adorned in vibrant tricolour décor, offered a fitting ambience for a book that introduces young readers to the ideals, values and spirit of the Indian Constitution. Among the distinguished guests were Dr. Salil Mehta, a long-standing mentor in the author’s academic pursuits, and Maitri Devi Sisodia, Deputy Collector (Stamp Duty), both of whom congratulated the author on her latest accomplishment.

The programme was gracefully anchored by senior author, poet and educationist Manish Singh Bhadauria, whose poised narration added depth and warmth to the celebration.

A special highlight of the evening was the participation of the author’s children—her son served as the editor of the book, while her daughter formally presented the work at the launch—making the occasion doubly meaningful for the family.

Expressing her gratitude, Shraddha Ahuja Ramani said, “This book is my humble attempt to help children connect with the Constitution not as a heavy document, but as a living guide that shapes our freedoms, duties and identity. Launching it at such a respected festival, surrounded by mentors, readers and my own children, is truly overwhelming.”

Chief Guest Maitri Devi Sisodia praised the initiative, noting, “Introducing constitutional values to children in this engaging, story-driven manner is a remarkable contribution. Books like these ensure that the next generation grows up informed, aware and empowered.”

Echoing this sentiment, Dr. Salil Mehta added, “Shraddha’s work stands out for its clarity and sincerity. She brings civics alive for young readers, and that is a rare gift in contemporary children’s literature.”

The author expressed deep appreciation for the literary community, educators and readers who continue to support her work. She noted that presenting her book on such a distinguished platform has strengthened her resolve to create more meaningful, accessible and value-based literature for young minds.

Photographs released from the event capture the warmth, pride and shared celebration of a memorable literary evening.
