Schools, colleges in TN to open from Feb 1; night curfew withdrawn from tomorrow

The number of guests at weddings has been fixed at 100, while only 50 are allowed for funerals

As the infection rate in the state is declining for the past few days, the Tamil Nadu government on Thursday decided to reopen Schools and colleges from February 1.

In a six page release issued by DIPR said that the night curfew also to be lifted from Friday (January 28, 2022).

The government also relaxed participation of guests at weddings to 100 and funerals to 50. The Sunday lockdown in force for the last three weeks also lifted from February 30.

However, there is no annoucement regarding allowing devotees to temples on week ends (Friday, Saturday and Sundays).
