The Socialist Democratic Party of India (SDPI) has condemned the nomination of controversial Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur to the Parliamentary Consultative Committee of the Defence Ministry led by Rajnath Singh here on Saturday.
In a release issued here, the SDPI National president Kalachan Moideen Kutty said that the appointment of Thakur is against the democratic norms.
Hitting out the NDA government, Moideen Kutty said the BJP has appointed a terror accused and Godse fanatic to be a member of the Parliamentary Panel on Defence. This move is an insult to our nation’s defence forces, to our nation’s esteemed parliamentarians and to every Indian.”
This will lead to encouraging the anti-socials working against the nation and criminals, said the release issued by its State spokesman A.K. Karim.
