It is scheduled to be held at the Eka Football Ground, TransStadia, near Kankaria, Ahmedabad, from May 1 to May 13, 2025. Following the successful inaugural season, the GSFA anticipates an even greater level of enthusiasm and competition in this year’s league, further bolstering the development of football within the state.
Parimal Nathwani, President of the GSFA, on Thursday extended his felicitations to the owners of the six franchise teams participating in the GSL Season 2. During the event, the official GSL trophy and team jerseys were also unveiled by the GSFA President.

The six franchise teams that will compete for the GSL title are:
- Ahmedabad Avengers (Sahil Patel & Shalin Patel)
- Gandhinagar Giants (Prashant Sanghvi & Ananya Sanghvi))
- Karnavati Knights (Advaita Patel & Yash Shah)
- Saurashtra Spartans (Kushal Patel)

- Vadodara Warriors (Kamlesh Gohil)

In his address, Parimal Nathwani stated, “It gives me immense pleasure to witness the Gujarat Super League entering its second season. I express my sincere appreciation to all the team owners for their continued dedication and investment in the growth of franchise-based football in Gujarat. Furthermore, I would like to acknowledge the crucial contributions of all stakeholders, including the players, coaches, sponsors, collaborators, and the media, whose support was instrumental in the success of the inaugural GSL season. Football is undoubtedly experiencing a significant phase of growth and development in Gujarat.”

Mulrajsinh Chudasama, the Honorary Secretary of the GSFA, expressed his optimism for a strong response to the GSL matches in its second season and conveyed his aspirations for the league’s future expansion and increased scale.

Incidentally, the GSFA has consistently received strong support from the Sports Authority of Gujarat (SAG) and Gujarat Tourism.
GSL Season 2 will feature an enhanced level of competition with the inclusion of out-of-state players who have previously participated in prominent national-level tournaments such as the I-League and the Santosh Trophy.

In a strategic initiative to engage younger spectators and broaden the appeal of the GSL, the GSFA has decided to offer complimentary entry to students under the age of 18, along with their parents.
The inaugural match of the Gujarat Super League Season 2 is scheduled to kick off at 7:00 pm on May 1, 2025, at TransStadia.
