NEW DELHI, MAY 2
Senior Jamaat-e-Islami Hind (JIH) leader Mr Nusrat Ali passed away on Sunday afternoon.
He was suffering from Covid-19 infection and was undergoing treatment in Al-Shifa Hospital for the last 15 days.
According to hospital sources, his condition had started improving two days ago but his oxygen level went down early Sunday morning that claimed his life.
A former president of UP unit of the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, he also served as a national vice-president of the organization and for two terms as national general secretary.
He was currently chairman of the JIH’s Taleemi Board. More details are awaited.
