The first-look poster of actor Shaam’s upcoming film titled ‘Asthram,’ was released by Venkat Prabhu, ‘Varisu’ Vamsi, Kichha Sudeep, Arya and Sayesha on Sunday. The film goes by the tagline “The Secret.” Producer Dhana Shanmughamani of Best Movies is producing the film ‘Asthram’, featuring actor Shaam in the lead character.
The first look poster is fiery and mystical, as we see Shaam looking straight into the camera, as he is holding a book that is caught in flames.
The film, a crime-investigation thriller, by its genre is directed by debutant Aravind Rajagopal.
Famous model Niranjini plays the female lead role in this movie. Nizhalgal Ravi, Jeeva Ravi, Arul D Shankar and many more prominent actors are performing the pivotal roles.
Sundaramoorthy, who won acclaims for his decorous musical score in movies like ‘Aira’, ‘8 Thottakkal’ and ‘Bommai Nayagi’ is composing music for this film.

Kalyan, who has cranked camera works for the upcoming Tamil releases like ‘Ranger’ and ‘Jackson Durai 2’ is handling cinematography for this movie.
Boopathi, who worked as assistant editor in movies like ‘Irudhi Suttru’ and ‘Soorarai Pottru’ is debuting as editor with this film.
Rajavel is overseeing art works and Mukesh is the stunt director.
Director Aravind Rajagopal has 10 years of acting experience in the short films, and played a pivotal role in ‘En Peyar Anandhan’.
Sharing the insight about the film’s making experience, director Aravind Rajagopal says, “During the Corona period, our team embarked on the production of a 30-minute pilot film. Recognizing the exceptional quality of the story, we made the collective decision to transform it into a full-length feature. The talented story writer, Jagan, has masterfully crafted the narrative. As a result, the film has taken shape as an enthralling crime investigation thriller.”
“Actor Shaam has played the cop’s role in this movie, which is on the lines of ‘Ratchasan’ and ‘Por Thozil’, which has the screenplay laced with mystery and investigation. I reached out to actor Shaam through social media to narrate the plot of this film. Unaware of my identity, he placed trust in my words and graciously invited me to his office. Upon hearing the story, he promptly agreed to take on the role. Actor Shaam with an unwavering commitment, he has poured his heart and soul into this cinematic masterpiece, firmly convinced that it shall serve as a triumphant resurgence in his illustrious career,” adds the director.
The film was shot for 30 days across the exotic locales of Chennai and Kodaikanal.
