Union Home Minister Amit Shah slammed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remarks on “eradicating Sanatana Dharma”, saying it shows that the INDIA alliance “hates Hinduism” and it’s part of the bloc’s vote bank and appeasement politics
Calling it “an attack on our heritage”, the home minister said the ‘ghamandiya gathbandan’ (the arrogant alliance) can go to any extent for vote bank politics. He was speaking at Rajasthan’s Dungarpur while launching BJP’s Parivartan Yatra ahead of state assembly elections,
Shah’s remarks came hours after Udhayanidhi said Sanatana was against the idea of social justice and that it had to be eradicated. The Tamil Nadu minister was addressing a conference organised in Chennai by the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Artists Association on ‘Eradication of Sanatana’.
“I thank the organisers of this conference for allowing me to deliver a special address. You have kept the name of the conference as ‘Sanatana Abolition Conference’ rather than ‘Anti-Sanatana Conference’, I appreciate that,” Udhayanidhi said.

“A few things cannot be opposed, that should be abolished only. We can’t oppose dengue, mosquitoes, malaria, or corona. We have to eradicate this, that’s how we have to eradicate Sanatana. Rather than opposing Sanatana, it should be eradicated,” he added.
Besides taking on Udhayanidhi, Shah also targeted Rahul Gandhi, claiming the Congress leader said Hindu organisations are ‘more dangerous’ than Lashkar-e-Taiba.
The Ram temple in Ayodhya will be ready in January, Shah said, adding that “the Congress blocked it for years and the INDIA alliance cannot stop it.”
Shah said Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot “sees red diary even when someone wears red clothes”, adding that it contains details of ‘mining, Kali Sindh and teachers’ scams. He accused the state government of doing nothing except corruption, scam and appeasement in the past five years.
