AHMEDABAD, MAR 23
In a powerful step to recognise and amplify the voices of everyday sheroes, Dream Foundation has announced the launch of Shakti Award 2026 – The Spirit of Empowerment, inviting nominations for women who are making a meaningful difference in society.
The awards aim to honour women from diverse walks of life—social workers, educators, healthcare champions, grassroots leaders and changemakers—whose contributions often go unnoticed but create lasting impact.
The award ceremony is scheduled to be held on April 5, 2026, at the iconic Ahmedabad Management Association (AMA), bringing together inspiring stories under one roof.
A Platform for Real Impact
Dream Foundation, a city-based NGO in Ahmedabad, has been actively working in the areas of:
- Education support for underprivileged children
- Health and nutrition initiatives
- Women empowerment and skill development
- Slum and community upliftment
With the Shakti Award, the organisation seeks to institutionalise recognition for women who are quietly transforming lives at the grassroots level.
Open, Transparent & Inclusive
What sets the Shakti Award apart is its inclusive and non-commercial approach:
- No nomination fee
- Not a paid award
- Voluntary donations welcome to support the initiative
A coordinator from Dream Foundation said:
“Shakti Award is not just an honour—it is a movement to bring forward stories of resilience and selfless service. We want society to recognise and celebrate women who lead change without seeking the spotlight.”
