In a heartening move to strengthen women’s participation in business and creative industries, SHE – The Sindhi Entrepreneur, a non-profit platform, was launched on Thursdayin Ahmedabad to support and empower women entrepreneurs across communities through collaboration, learning, and networking.

Founded by entrepreneur and blogger Jyoti Mulchandani (Sindhi Khazana), psychologist and spiritual coach Nikita Dudani, and home chef Riya Mulchandani, with the support of writer and mentor Anil Mulchandani, the platform is envisioned as a dynamic ecosystem that nurtures entrepreneurship through flea markets, exhibitions, workshops, mentorship sessions, and peer learning initiatives.
Elaborating on the concept, Anil Mulchandani said, “I have met women entrepreneurs who lack communication skills like public speaking, pitching to clients, negotiation skills, email and phone etiquette, branding and even wearing industry-appropriate clothing. We propose to organise workshops, seminars, talks and peer sharing sessions to address skill gaps — from basic digital literacy and tech tools to finance and compliances.”

Co-founder Riya Mulchandani added that affordability and accessibility were at the heart of the initiative.
“Many new women entrepreneurs struggle due to limited professional skills such as communication, public speaking and presentation abilities. We felt there is a need for an organisation that can help bridge these gaps without the high fees or rigid structures often associated with large professional networking platforms.”
The platform will continue to curate meaningful events that promote personal and professional growth, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for women from all walks of life.
Highlighting the emotional connect behind the initiative, co-founder Nikita Dudani shared, “This is a step to give back to the community all the support and opportunities that I have received over the years. I want other women entrepreneurs to know that they have a community where they can express what support they need — and we, as a team, will strive to provide that. SHE is for everyone — from beginners to seasoned entrepreneurs — a safe, encouraging, and empowering space to grow together.”
The launch event, held on November 6 at The Grand Bhagwati, saw the participation of over 60 women entrepreneurs from varied fields — food, fashion, wellness, retail, handicrafts, logistics, digital marketing, event management, social development, and the arts.
Expressing her delight at the diversity of participants, co-founder Jyoti Mulchandani remarked, “I was delighted by the calibre of attendees and the breadth of enterprises represented at the launch. It reinforces our belief that there’s immense potential among women entrepreneurs waiting to be nurtured through collaboration and shared growth.”
The event featured Jay Somani, Executive Director of The Grand Bhagwati, as Chief Guest, and food blogger and influencer Pooja Sangani as Guest of Honour. Sharing her admiration for the initiative, Pooja Sangani said,
“When it is a matter of women empowerment, I always love to be a part of it, and the ‘SHE – The Sindhi Entrepreneur’ launch was truly amazing. I wholeheartedly love the concept of this platform that focuses on helping women entrepreneurs from all communities to empower themselves, regardless of their chosen field. It creates a vital supportive ecosystem. Being present to witness and support all four founders’ shared vision of growth was a profoundly inspiring experience.”
The event also featured an engaging workshop by Bharti Lalchandani of Trendwave, who conducted an interactive session on digital media marketing strategies for small businesses.
With its focus on collaboration over competition, SHE – The Sindhi Entrepreneur promises to evolve into a transformative movement, empowering women to learn, network, and rise together — shaping a stronger, more inclusive entrepreneurial landscape.
