Shiv Nadar University Chennai, an initiative by Shiv Nadar Foundation in the higher education space, on Tuesday signed a Memorandam of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay to open academic avenues for the students, researchers, scholars, and faculty members of both universities to get benefitted from the agreement. The MoU is aimed at fostering academic excellence, faculty and student exchange, research collaboration, and quality education.

The MoU envisions combined efforts in the areas of joint academic programmes, research, and training along with jointly organizing conferences and symposiums on thematic areas of relevance. Dr. Sriman Kumar Bhattacharyya, Vice-Chancellor, Shiv Nadar University Chennai, and Professor Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay signed the MoU. The MoU would remain in force for a period of five years from the date of its signature and will be extended with mutual understanding.

Dr. Sriman Kumar Bhattacharyya, Vice-Chancellor, Shiv Nadar University Chennai said, “We are excited to partner with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Speaking on the occasion, Professor Subhasis Chaudhuri, Director, Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, stated that as an institute IITB tries to anticipate and meet the needs of learners. IITB has always focused to provide an education that transforms students through rigorous coursework and by providing an understanding of the needs of society and industry. Highlighting the significance of this partnership, Prof. Chaudhuri stated that such collaborations across all higher educational Institutes are the need of the hour in generating a talent pool that will take our country to the next level.
