As the sacred month of Shravan begins in Vadnagar, a new kind of wheel has begun turning—one powered not by fuel, but by the promise of cleaner tourism. At the historic Sharmishtha Lake, where faith, heritage and festivities converged for the Vadnagar Shravanotsav, TVS Motor Company put electric mobility at the heart of Gujarat’s tourism story by handing over a TVS King EV MAX to Gujarat Tourism Corporation Limited.
The handover took place during ‘Shravan Mangal Aarambh’, held on the first Sunday of the holy month of Shravan, marking the ceremonial launch of the celebrations and adding a green-mobility dimension to Vadnagar’s cultural tourism landscape.
When heritage meets the electric wheel
The TVS King EV MAX is set to provide visitors with a convenient, efficient and environmentally friendly mobility option, supporting Gujarat Tourism’s efforts to promote more responsible and sustainable tourism.
The initiative gives electric mobility a distinctly local purpose: helping visitors navigate a heritage destination while reducing dependence on conventional fossil-fuel-powered transport.
Vadnagar, with its rich historical and cultural legacy, thus becomes the setting for a partnership that connects pilgrimage, tourism and clean transportation.
TVS drives deeper into Gujarat’s tourism ecosystem
For TVS Motor, the initiative also strengthens its engagement with Gujarat beyond mobility sales. The company currently has 50 dealership touchpoints and 50 service touchpoints across the state, creating an extensive network to serve customers and support the growing adoption of cleaner mobility.
The collaboration with Gujarat Tourism reflects a shared vision of accelerating clean mobility adoption and building a more sustainable future across Gujarat.
A green ride for a new tourism journey
The handover during Shravanotsav carries a larger message: tourism infrastructure is increasingly being shaped not only around where travellers go, but also how sustainably they get there.
With the TVS King EV MAX entering Gujarat Tourism’s mobility ecosystem, the partnership places electric transport alongside the state’s efforts to showcase its spiritual, cultural and heritage destinations.
At Vadnagar’s Sharmishtha Lake, therefore, ‘Shravan Mangal Aarambh’ was more than the beginning of a festival—it marked the turning of another wheel, towards cleaner journeys and more responsible tourism.
