Shri Chitrakoot Dham Talgajarda is set to host a series of events on November 29 in remembrance of the late Prabhudas Bapu, continuing its annual tradition to honour his legacy.
Highlighting the day’s events is a mass marriage ceremony, scheduled to commence at 9:30 am in Talgajarda. Eight girls from the village will be united in matrimony, with Shri Chitrakoot Dham facilitating the entire ceremony. Each bride will receive Rs 51,000 along with other gifts, and the trust will oversee the arrangements for the wedding feast. Notably, two of the brides are daughters of courtesans.
Following this, the trust will acknowledge the role of bhajan singers. This year’s celebration includes a bhajan discourse at Shri Chitrakoot Dham from 3:30 pm to 6:00 pm. Noted spiritual leader and Ramcharitmanas exponent, Morari Bapu, will unveil Nathalal Gohil’s book, “Santwani Shabdkosh.”
The event will feature discussions by Dalpat Padhiyar, Ramesh Mehta, and Nathalal Gohil, with Nitin Vadgama as the event anchor. Additionally, two books by renowned educationist Takhubhai Sandsur will be launched during this session.
At 8:00 pm, renowned Manbhat exponent Dharmiklal Pandya will lead a narration program. Subsequently, Morari Bapu will present awards to distinguished bhajan singers, including Mahant Baburam Bhagat representing Santwani creator Saint Poet Dhana Bhagat (Dhola), Bhartiben Vyas, Ustad Abubakar Mamad Mir on the tabla, Maheshbhai Vaghela on the violin, and Nagjibhai Sarvaiya on the manjira. Morari Bapu will also share his insights during the awards ceremony.
The programme will conclude with a soulful rendition of bhajans by various artists. The entire event will be streamed live on Sangeetni Duniya’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@sangeetniduniyaparivar), allowing a wider audience to participate in the commemoration of Prabhudas Bapu’s legacy.
