Raaj Kamal Films International (RKFI) and Sony Pictures International Productions (SPIP) are proud to reveal the title of their much awaited project “SK21” on the eve of actor Sivakarthikeyan’s birthday. The film’s riveting teaser set against the backdrop of Kashmir revealing the title and lead character was launched on Friday, 16th February, 2024.
The film is christened “AMARAN” and is produced by Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan, Sony Pictures International Productions, R Mahendran and co-produced by Vakil Khan’s God Bless Entertainment. The film, written and directed by Rajkumar Periasamy is based on real-life events of Major Mukund Varadarajan and a chapter from the “INDIA’S MOST FEARLESS” series, written by Rahul Singh and Shiv Aroor.

Writer-director Rajkumar Periasamy has done extensive research and crafted the story screenplay for the film “AMARAN”, and it’s all set to become a masterpiece of Tamil – Indian cinema! Tamil star Sivakarthikeyan leads the cast and has given a stirring performance in a unique character based on a real life Hero. Further, he is paired with the immensely talented Sai Pallavi, who adds a new dimension to the film. AMARAN boasts a stellar technical crew, including Music Director G V Prakash, Production Designer Rajeevan, Cinematographer CH Sai, Editor R Kalaivanan, Action Director Stefan Richter, Costume Designers Amritha Ram and Sameera Saneesh.
