Shri Mahila Sewa Sahakari Bank Ltd. India’s first women’s bank for the informal sector, hosted the “Women-in-Business Camp” for micro-entrepreneurs, the silent disruptors, in Ahmedabad on Monday.
In 2022, SEWA Bank partnered with the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management to support women entrepreneurs in their growth phase. Together, they designed a new financial product and training series to enhance the business skills of Micro Entrepreneurs.
The event saw participation from 33 woman micro-entrepreneurs across sectors such as garment manufacturing, imitation jewellery, catering, dairy and beauty industry. These women completed the training sessions and were recognized for their achievements during the camp.
The event was attended by SEWA Bank Managing Director Jayshree Vyas, Chief General Manager Vandana Shah and German partners Bettina Wittlinger and Maren Richter.
