Bread is a part of our day-to-day life and we all have it in our homes at all times. It is one of the commodities which come handy in a number of ways. It is popular in almost all regional cuisines in India like Hyderabadi cuisine, served at weddings and parties. Double ka meetha refers to the milk bread, called “double roti” in the local Indian dialects because it swells up to almost double its original size after baking.
The correct meaning of Double Roti in English is Loaf. Other similar word for Double Roti includes Naan Pao. Kutchi Dabeli, also known as Double Roti is made from Pav (burger bun) filled with boiled potato mixture, Dabeli Masala and Chutney. In the Gujarati Language “Dabeli” means “pressed”. Bread is a staple food prepared from a dough of flour and water, usually by baking. Throughout recorded history and around the world, it has been an important part of many cultures’ diet. Bread is the product of baking a mixture of flour, water, salt, yeast and other ingredients.

The basic process involves mixing of ingredients until the flour is converted into a stiff paste or dough, followed by baking the dough into a loaf. There are three main kinds of breads in the world those that rise highest so are baked in pans, breads with a medium volume like rye and French breads, and those that hardly rise at all called flatbreads. In the United States, consumers sometimes refer to white bread as “sandwich bread” or “sandwich loaf”. It is often perceived as an unhealthy, bland, and unsophisticated menu item. White bread contains 1/2 of the magnesium found in whole-wheat bread, and it is generally considered to be less nutritionally dense.
Here are a few easy to make snacky ideas using variety of breads from the regular white to the brown and from multi-grain to the French and more.
