Two months after Tamil Nadu Government has initiated the Meendum Manjapai (return of cloth bag) campaign and introduced bags made of biodegradable material as alternative to banned plastic items, Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam on Sunday distributed cloth bags among the public.
This anti-plastic campaign was implemented in all districts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra states and the Union Territory of Puducherry on Sunday as per the directions of Thalapathy Vijay, said Bussy S Anand, All India General Secretary, Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam.
Anand added that this initiative has been undertaken as part of the Iyakkam’s Social Welfare Day activity every Sunday.
This was revealed by Riaz Ahmed, Public Relation Officer of Thalapathy Vijay.
