Ten years after the 1000X Series transformed silence from a luxury into an everyday listening experience, Sony India is marking the milestone by turning premium personal audio into an even more immersive, intelligent and design-conscious experience.
Celebrating a decade of its acclaimed 1000X legacy, Sony has unveiled 1000X THE COLLEXION and the all-new WF-1000XM6, bringing together sophisticated craftsmanship, advanced noise cancellation, AI-powered intelligence and studio-inspired sound. The new launches represent Sony’s latest interpretation of what premium listening should feel like—less about merely hearing music and more about entering its world.
1000X THE COLLEXION: where luxury meets silence
The exclusive 1000X THE COLLEXION is designed as much for the eyes and the feel as for the ears. Premium metal accents, luxurious leather finishes, a slim silhouette and sophisticated colour options give the headphones a distinctly refined character, while a wider headband, spacious ear cushions and lightweight construction are engineered for long listening sessions with reduced fatigue.
Its magnetic carrying case and intuitive physical controls add everyday practicality to the luxury proposition.
Underneath the elegant exterior is a formidable audio architecture. A bespoke driver unit works with the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3 and Integrated Processor V3, while Sony’s sound tuning, developed with award-winning mastering engineers under its “For the Music” initiative, seeks to preserve the creator’s original intent through smooth vocals, balanced instruments and nuanced dynamics.
The experience extends across music, cinema and gaming with 360 Upmix, Sound AR and 360 Reality Audio, while DSEE Ultimate, Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Wireless certification, alongside a 10-band equaliser with dedicated Game EQ and BGM modes, give listeners extensive control over their sound.
Silence gets smarter
Noise cancellation remains the heart of the 1000X proposition. The WH-1000XX employs Multi Noise Sensor technology with 12 precision microphones, with advanced processors continuously optimising noise cancellation.
The Adaptive Noise Cancelling Optimiser adjusts to the user’s surroundings and wearing conditions, while the Wind Noise Reduction Structure helps preserve listening clarity outdoors.
Calls are equally intelligence-driven. AI-optimised noise reduction, beamforming microphones and Precise Voice Pickup Technology isolate the user’s voice and suppress surrounding distractions. Users can even mute or unmute calls with a double press of the NC/AMB button.
With Google Gemini integration, Quick Access, Adaptive Sound Control, Sound Connect personalisation, scene-based listening, Auto Play, wearing detection, head gestures, Speak-to-Chat and seamless multi-device connectivity, the headphones are designed to anticipate rather than merely respond.
WF-1000XM6: flagship intelligence in a pocket-sized form
If the 1000X THE COLLEXION is about luxurious immersion, the WF-1000XM6 puts Sony’s flagship listening technology into a compact, everyday format.
Sony says the new earbuds deliver its best noise-cancelling performance yet, with a further 25% reduction in noise compared with the WF-1000XM5. The newly developed Auto Noise Cancelling Optimiser adapts to wearing conditions and surroundings, while Auto Ambient Sound mode dynamically balances music with external sounds.
At its core is the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3e, supported by an improved DAC and amplifier to deliver cleaner, richer and more detailed sound.
AI hears the voice behind the noise
The WF-1000XM6 also raises the bar for calls, using AI-driven voice pickup, enhanced microphones and a bone-conduction sensor that captures speech directly from the user while minimising background noise.
Its intelligence extends to everyday life. Scene-Based Listening recognises activities such as walking, running and workouts to personalise audio. Hands-free Google Gemini enables users to access assistance, notifications and music controls by voice.
Head gestures let users answer or reject calls with a nod or shake, while Speak-to-Chat automatically lowers music when conversation begins.
Built for the rhythm of daily life, the earbuds are sweat- and splash-resistant, offer up to 24 hours of battery life with the charging case, and provide up to 50 minutes of playback from a five-minute quick charge. Qi-compatible wireless charging and Battery Care through the Sony | Sound Connect app add further convenience.
