Southern Command GOC-in-Chief Lt General C P Mohanty visits Jaisalmer Military Station

Lieutenant General CP Mohanty, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command visited Jaisalmer Military Station on Saturday, a Defence PRO release said. The General Officer was accompanied by Lieutenant General Anil Puri, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding, Konark Corps.

The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Command took stock of the operational readiness of the formation, he was briefed on various operational matters and measures to improve the quality of life of troops in the formation by Major General Rakesh Kapoor, Vishisht Seva Medal, General Officer Commanding, Battle Axe Division.

Lieutenant General CP Mohanty, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Sena Medal, Vishisht Seva Medal addressed all Officers of Konark Corps. He exhorted all soldiers to focus on Operational preparedness with realistic training to achieve a high level of military professionalism.

During the visit, the General Officer also reviewed the preparation of station units in discharging duties as part of aid to civil authorities to include natural disasters, terrorist strikes, etc.
