Southern Command General Officer Commanding-in-Chief Lieutenant General JS Nain made a three-day visit to Ahmedabad from Monday to Wednesday – August 16 to 18, says a Defence release.
During his visit to Golden Katar Division, he was briefed on the operational readiness of the formation. The General Officer also visited Gandhinagar & Dharangdhara Military Stations.
The General Officer laid emphasis on operational effectiveness, tri-services synergy and cooperation with sister services to gain a holistic picture of the situation for a better and effective response to any contingency.
He further highlighted the requirement of integrated training to enhance the capability to fight effectively. The General Officer also interacted with the troops of the formation & appreciated their efforts while exhorting them to keep striving for excellence in all realms.
