The Southern Railway observed the 132nd birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar on Monday, 17th April, 2023 at the Southern Railway Headquarters, Chennai.
Remembering the architect of the Indian Constitution, Bharat Ratna Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, on his 132nd birth anniversary at Southern Railway HQ.

During the function, R N Singh, General Manager, Southern Railway garlanded the portrait of Dr.Ambedkar and paid floral tributes. Kaushal Kishore, Additional General Manager, Principal Heads of Departments, Senior Officers, Staff and Members of recognized Trade Unions/Associations participated in the event and paid homage to the architect of Indian Constitution.
Later in the evening, RN Singh presided over the 132nd Ambedkar Jayanthi celebrations held at Southern Railway headquarters.
The General Manager distributed prizes and merit certifications to the winners of Essay and Quiz competitions held in commemoration of 132nd Ambedkar Jayanthi for the employees and wards of Southern Railway Headquarters.
