Noted spiritual leader and exponent of Ram Charit Manas, Morari Babu, on Wednesday announced a reward of Rs 20 lakh to all Indian athletes and coaches of the Paralympic Games being held in Japan, says a release.
The Indian contingent has a total of 104 people, including 50 athletes and 54 others – coaches, managers and assistants.
A total of 50 players participating in various competitions will be given an incentive of Rs 25,000 each on behalf of Morari Bapu which will come to Rs 12.5 lakh. Similarly, the trainers, managers and other associates of these competitors, whose total number is 54, will be given an incentive of Rs 15,000 each which will come to Rs 8.10 lakh. Thus the total incentive amount is Rs 20.60 lakh. The amount will be credited into the bank accounts of the players and others, the release added.
Incidentally, Morari Babu had already paid Rs 57 lakh cash reward to the Tokyo Olympic Games participants from India.
