The 10th edition of Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), an annual feast from film personalities with cricket talent from 8 different teams from across the country will be held from February 23 to March 17.
The matches will be held in Sharjah, Hyderabad, Chandigarh and Thiruvananthapuram. Due to the forthcoming, IPL Season, the matches could not be conducted in Chennai, said CCL Founder Vishnu Vardhan Induri here on Friday.

Addressing reporters Vishnu Vardhan Induri said, “ CCL is most popular game next to the IPL in India. The journey of CCL started in the year 2011. Due to pandemic, few seasons could not be conducted. The 10th edition of CCL will be held in three cities in India and Sharjah. Talented cricketers among the celebrities are participating in this tournament for passion and not for money.”
This year all the 20 matches would be broadcast on DD Sports and JioCinemas. The Star Network to broadcast the matches in all South Indian languages, Vijay Super Channel will stream the matches in Tamil, he said.
When asked about the possibility of conducting Celebrity Cricket Women’s League like Women Premier League (WPL), Vishnu said he is yet to thought about it.

Replying to a query on CSR initiatives, Vishnu said the CCL has so far supported 100 heart surgeries and also women suffered from acid attacks.
Apart from Chennai Rhinos, Bengal Tigers, Bhojpuri Dabanggs, Karnataka Bulldozers, Kerala Strikers, Mumbai Heroes, Punjab De Sher and Telugu Warriors teams are playing in the 10th edition.
Chennai Rhinos team members along with CCL Founder Vishnu Vardhan Induri addressed the media conference in Chennai.
Arya, Captain of Chennai Rhinos said it is not an easy task to organize CCL in such a big magnitude. In spite of all odds, Mr Vishnu conducting the tournament with same enthusiasm and vigour of first edition, Arya added.
Arya further said, “Chennai Rhinos wows to win the title this year. In spite of our busy schedule, we play the game with true spirit and keep aside our film schedules’’.
Actor Shanthanu said, “Each and every season friendship/bonding among the members of all teams increasing every season.”
